There is something sacred about the beginning of a new year.
January arrives quietly, almost gently— an invitation to pause, to breathe, and to look ahead with fresh eyes. The calendar turns, and with it comes the hope that what lies ahead can be different. Better. Redeemed.
As we step into a new year, we are also stepping into National Human Trafficking Awareness Month. This timing is not accidental. It reminds us that while many are celebrating new beginnings, there are still countless men, women, and children longing for freedom, healing, and restoration.
For those still trapped in exploitation, a new year can feel heavy—another reminder of time passing while their circumstances remain unchanged. Yet even here, light is never absent. God is still moving. He is still seeing. He is still rescuing.
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” — John 1:5
Awareness That Leads to Action
January calls us not only to learn, but to respond.
Awareness is powerful when it leads to prayer.
Awareness matters when it fuels compassion.
Awareness changes lives when it moves us to action.
This month, we commit ourselves again to shining a light— on the realities of trafficking, on the resilience of survivors, and on the hope that restoration is possible. We remember that prevention, outreach, and aftercare are not just programs; they are acts of obedience and love.
Every conversation matters.
Every prayer matters.
Every life matters.
Looking Ahead With Expectation
As we stand at the threshold of this new year, our hearts are also fixed on what lies ahead. We are believing for big things in 2026— not because of our strength, but because of God’s faithfulness.
We believe:
- More doors will open for rescue and restoration
- More survivors will walk in freedom and healing
- More communities will rise up to protect the vulnerable
- More hearts will be stirred to give, serve, and pray
We believe God is preparing opportunities we cannot yet see and answers to prayers that have been whispered for years!
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” — Isaiah 43:19
Walking Forward Together
The start of a new year is not about forgetting the past—it’s about carrying forward the lessons, the burdens, and the hope entrusted to us.
As we begin this year, let us choose to walk forward together:
- With eyes open to injustice
- With hearts anchored in hope
- With faith that expects God to move mightily
Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for being part of the light. As this year unfolds, may we remain faithful in the small steps, confident that God is working through them to accomplish something far greater than we can imagine.
The light is still shining— and the best is yet to come!
